Ryan Bingham May 30. New Mexico born singer-songwriter Ryan Bingham is an acclaimed Grammy, Oscar, and Golden Globe winning musician (and notably, a former rodeo circuit rider). In 2009, Bingham wrote and performed the theme song "The Weary Kind" for the film Crazy Heart starring Jeff Bridges. The track was produced by Grammy-winning producer T Bone Burnett and earned Bingham an Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, and Critics' Choice Award for "Best Song" in 2010, as well as a Grammy Award for "Best Song Written for a Motion Picture" in 2011.
In 2010, Bingham was named the Americana Music Association's Artist of the Year and also released his critically acclaimed third studio album Junky Star on Lost Highway Records. The album, Bingham's highest charting and most successful release to date, debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard Rock Album Chart and Top 20 on the Billboard 200 Chart. Fresh off the first leg of last Fall's US tour, which included multiple sold-out dates, this tour will continue to support Bingham's acclaimed fourth studio album, Tomorrowland, which was released last September through his own label Axster Bingham Records.
